The Magic Lantern is a non-profit, membership driven organization dedicated to enriching the cultural landscape of Nevada City and Northern California through the cinematic arts. In addition to producing the Nevada City Film Festival, we offer exceptional year-round programming with The Magic Theatre film series as well as educational outreach programs geared to inspire a new generation to the art of cinema.

During the Film Festival, Magic Lantern members save on festival tickets and merchandise. Throughout the year, you'll also be treated to numerous events and films including free special preview screenings of films!
