The 14th Annual Nevada City Film Festival is seeking interns in the areas of Marketing, Public Relations, and Production. Our interns have the unique opportunity to be intimately involved in the planning and documentation of the festival. Through this involvement, the intern will learn and understand the many aspects of planning and executing a fully integrated marketing and public relations campaign for a major event. They will also learn organizational and project management skills. Internships are offered 5-15 hours a week, June 1 – September 10. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in coordinating marketing outreach.
• Assist with Google Ad Word implementation and other advertising campaign research.
• Assist with writing program and website verbiage.
• Analyze and research best practices for marketing surveys.
• Research ad rates and place advertisements.
• Update media trade agreements and publication distribution plan.
• Assist Marketing Coordinator with scheduling of social media, email and website updates.
• Collect copy and provide performance reporting and analysis for Festival email campaigns.
• Conduct market research.
• Day of duties assigned during the Festival.
• Monitor responses, social chatter and engagement in real-time, reply as part of CRM, adjust content posting strategies accordingly
• Work with Marketing to obtain weekly video, photo and written assets to be shared across social platforms
• Attend assigned events to capture photo, video and to live tweet
• Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree or working towards degree in marketing or related field.
• Editing and writing experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook, Word.
• Self motivated, organized, and detail orientated.
Internships are unpaid. Internships are available to both students and members of the community.
